Take a Seat at the Table
This week, I’m reading Sheryl Sandberg’s “Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead". I know she has a new book out, but I often find myself with a book on my shelves that I have never read, and because of that I may sometimes be 3 or 4 years behind in reading the best sellers. But, that’s OK. I accept that about myself (insert self love emoji 💕😊).
I was really struck by her chapter about having a seat at the table. I tell a personal story in today’s video message about how the "taking a seat at the table" theme has come up for me throughout my life, one specific incident that comes to mind, and how being aware of our own patterns can be mighty powerful. Then, I’ll share with you this week’s I Am statements that can remind all of us to take OUR seat at the table.
